Reviews, interviews, etc

That glorious vision above you there is the video for Remember Remember’s ‘Scottish Widows’, taken from Graeme JD Ronald and co’s brand new album, The Quickening (Rock Action). I spoke to Graeme about The Quickening, and hope, and Spinal Tap, for The Herald and I reviewed the album for The List.

I also reviewed Muscles of Joy’s excellent debut album for The List and spoke to them about hand-made drums, Scots folk and post-punk for The Herald.

I spoke to Brian Wilson about Gershwin and Elvis for The Herald, King Creosote about the Diamond Mine and The Mercury Prize for The Herald, (and reviewed his Glasgow show with Jon Hopkins for The List), and I took the liberty of reuniting Arab Strap’s Malcolm Middleton and Aidan Moffat for the October singles column in The List (it also features Josh T Pearson, Jens Lekman, Cancel the Astronauts, We Were Promised Jetpacks, Wounded Knee and Django Django).

Oh – and I took Aidan Moffat UFO spotting for The Quietus
